Rosemary Jackson KC is in full-time practice as a Mediator and Conciliator following a successful practice at the Construction Bar from 1983. Rosemary joined Keating Chambers as the first female specialist building counsel at the English Bar and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2006.

Rosemary received the Clare Edwards Award for professional excellence and contribution to the legal profession serving the construction industry in 2018 and has since been awarded ‘Mediation Expert of the Year in the United Kingdom’ in the 2021 Lawyer Network Annual Awards, and ‘Lawyer of the Year – Mediation’ in the 2021 Who’s Who Legal Awards.

Helen began her career as a family solicitor and re-trained as a family mediator in 2007. Since then she has worked exclusively as a mediator. She’s a founding partner of a busy mediation practice in Kent, Wells Family Mediation, a Professional Practice Consultant, and an enthusiastic Child Inclusive Mediator. She is also one of the foundation trainers for the Family Mediators’ Association.

Aside from the mediation work, Helen is also involved in promoting child-centred solutions following family separation at a policy level, through involvement with the Family Solutions Group. Helen was delighted to be awarded NMA Family Mediator of the Year and Child-Inclusive Mediator of the Year in 2022.

Awarded Community Mediator of the Year in the 2024 National Mediation Awards, Tracey has been a practising mediator for 15 years. She is a CMC-registered workplace mediator, and an EMIN-certified elder mediator. She is a volunteer community mediator and supervisor at Calm Mediation in London, where she has also served as a Trustee (2017-23) and trainer.

Tracey is co-founder of a mediation practice in London, providing mediation in workplaces and for families, including on later-life issues. As one of the first UK mediators to gain specialist certification as an elder mediator, she is active in promoting and developing this new field of practice here. In her previous career as a communications professional, Tracey worked across the sectors, and with NHS and health organisations for many years.

Bruce trained as a Civil and Commercial Mediator in 2011 and has undertaken in excess of 800 mediations in his career. He original trained as a surveyor and he maintains his Chartered Surveyor status. In additional to his mediation practice Bruce also sits on the First Tier Tribunal (Property).

Bruce’s experience as a mediator extends over many areas including property, contentious probate, both personal and business contracts, professional negligence and neighbourhood disputes amongst others.

In the last 15 years Bruce has undertaken many roles within the Civil Mediation Council and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Lorraine is an FMC accredited mediator with over 30 years’ experience in family mediation. She is a child-inclusive mediator, PPC and mediation trainer. Lorraine’s background is in psychology, social work and supporting families, particularly those where domestic abuse is an issue and is a previous Chair and Director of the College of Mediators.

Lorraine sits as a member of the FMSB, chairing its PPC panel and sitting on its Domestic and Child Abuse panel. Her particular interests are in mediation and neurodiversity, making mediation safe and accessible, and safe and effective child-inclusive mediation.

Audrey is a highly regarded expert in the field of SEND Mediation and an experienced facilitator and trainer. She began her career as a commercial litigator in the City before discovering her passion for mediation. She went on to lead the award-winning KIDS SEND Mediation Service for over twenty years, supporting families, local authorities and educators navigate sensitive SEND disagreements.

Audrey now works nationally sharing her expertise with organisations such as the Medical Mediation Foundation, National Children’s Bureau, and KIDS SEND Mediation Service, championing collaborative working between families and professionals.

Audrey is a CEDR and SEND accredited mediator. She is a member of the SEND Mediation Standards Panel, responsible for overseeing the professional standards for SEND Mediators in England.

Nikki Edwards is a partner at Fox & Partners, specialising in complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on senior executive and partnership disputes. She is a practicing mediator with IPOS and was named Mediation Advocate of the Year at the last National Mediation Awards.

Nikki is known for her pragmatic, commercially focused approach and her commitment to achieving effective outcomes through mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. She is President of the London Solicitors Litigation Association 2024 and a trustee of Calm Mediation.

Tracey Fox is a transformative, relatable, and compassionate, mediator and conflict resolution specialist, with over 20 years’ experience in resolving sensitive, complex, and emotionally charged disputes.

Since she began to practice in 2003, Tracey is now a proficient neutral with an impressive track record of deploying her skill set to successfully engage in a diverse spectrum of cases. These range from employment, workplace and commercial, through to clinical negligence and private healthcare matters.

With an MSc in Organisational Psychology, and MSc In Psychodynamic Psychotherapy ( pending), Tracey is a highly respected global conflict management consultant (working with trade unions through to UN agencies), a leadership coach (for clients ranging from the creative industries through to leading global financial markets), and a facilitator leading workshops to develop the conflict resolution experts of the future, including being Lead Faculty for CEDR’s flagships Mediator Skills Training course for commercial mediators and Negotiation skills training).

James is the founder of the Parents Promise. Having seen up close the multitude of issues in the family courts and the numbers of children and parents affected James wanted to begin a new conversation about separation.

In May 2021, after many conversations with like-minded people and organisations the Parents Promise was launched. Backed by over 20 organisations ranging from the likes of the children’s mental health charity Place2Be to Relate to Black Mums Upfront the aim of the Alliance is to effect important cultural change around separation in the UK and beyond.

In January 2023 the Alliance launched a ground-breaking HR idea encouraging a number of large UK corporations including Tesco, ASDA, NatWest and Unilever to sign up to recognise separation as a ‘life event’. And In September 2025 the Positive Parenting Alliance launched its second initiative in the area of schools and separation.

As for James’s ‘day job’ he has 20 years’ experience in marketing and PR and has worked ‘both sides of the fence’ as agency leader and client. He now works for MD Communications who are brand and reputation specialists in the legal sector.

Catherine Hobby is Head of Law at the University of East London (UEL). She is a senior lecturer in law, solicitor, mediator, coach and restorative practice practitioner. Catherine is also the Director of the UEL Centre for Mediation and Conflict Management that runs a mediators’ community of practice of over ninety practitioners from across all sectors including Higher Education, workplace, civil and commercial, community and SEND. She is committed to embedding mediation into the legal curriculum and leads a LLM module Mediation: Theory and Practice and foundational mediator training courses that are all Civil Mediation Council accredited.

Catherine also works with organisations to provide conflict management training. Catherine has published in the areas of mediation, conflict management, whistleblowing, human rights, employment law and human resources. She is currently researching the Ethics of AI on mediation and conflict resolution and restorative strategies building on publications exploring the Post Office IT Horizon Scandal.

Lizanne Keenan is a workplace mediator and founder of LK Mediation Services, specialising in resolving complex organisational conflict through a practical, people-focused approach. With a background in HR, she supports individuals and teams to rebuild relationships, strengthen communication and create more collaborative working environments.

Lizanne also delivers accredited mediation training and is committed to advancing professional standards; she serves on the Policy and Standards Committee for the College of Mediators and is an accredited Professional Practice Consultant (PPC), and is proud to contribute her expertise as a judge for the National Mediation Awards.

Sarah is a Partner and Head of NCDR at Hall Brown Family Law, a boutique family law practice with 6 office nationally. Sarah practices as both a Mediator and Collaborative lawyer dealing with financial and children matters. Sarah specialises as a hybrid mediator in complex, high net worth mediation cases by utilising other professionals working with separated families.

Sarah is also a trained child inclusive mediator and can speak to children within the mediation process if appropriate. Sarah was named Family Mediator of the Year 2024 at the National Mediation Awards.

Jenny is the CEO of WMS, a London conflict resolution and training provider. She joined WMS in 2016 after working as a property litigation lawyer and has played a huge part in shaping WMS into what it is today: a trusted service helping people navigate conflict towards peace at home, in schools and at work. Thanks to Jenny’s leadership, WMS has grown into one of the UK’s leading providers of conflict resolution and training, recognised by the King’s Award for Voluntary Service and the Innovation Award at the National Mediation Awards 2024.

Richard is the CEO of The Resolution Centre, based in Jersey. Over the years, his career has developed from peacekeeping to peacebuilding. Fortunate to have experienced ‘Command’ at an early stage of his career with the Royal Navy, he subsequently spent over 30 years in senior leadership roles primarily within HR and the Organisational Development arena.

He is a Fellow of the CIPD, an EMCC Senior Practitioner and a fully qualified and practising transformative mediator. Specialising in complex, multi-party mediations, primarily in the workplace, his experiences cover the following sectors: education, hospitals and healthcare, financial services, maritime, government and legal services.

Richard is deeply committed to nurturing a new generation of peacebuilders: through Jersey’s rapidly growing Peer Mediation Programme. This initiative is currently active in over a dozen primary and secondary schools, training thousands of young people to engage positively with conflict.

Polly is an accredited mediator with over 20 years’ experience across community, workplace and SEND mediation, working within the private, public and voluntary sectors. Her background is in education, initially as a mainstream teacher and later working with children and young people permanently excluded from school, many of whom were navigating complex circumstances, including gang-related activity and involvement with the criminal justice system. During this period, Polly trained in conflict resolution and restorative practices, and shortly after, as a mediator. Polly is also an ICF ACC accredited personal performance coach, with a particular interest in conflict coaching, and regularly facilitates training in mediation and coaching.

Alongside her work with adults, she continues to work with children and young people as a Peer Mediation Trainer. In this role, she teaches pupils the skills to resolve disputes collaboratively; ultimately contributing to more supportive and harmonious school environments. Polly is deeply committed to preventing conflict escalation and social exclusion, and instead, to empower others to build meaningful relationships, strengthen human connection, and find greater meaning, purpose and fulfilment in their lives.

Ben Walsh is a Civil, Workplace and SEND Mediator. He sits on the Independent Standards Board of the Civil Mediation Council and the CMC/College of Mediators SEND Panel, which sets national quality standards. He is also a Lay Member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and CIPFA Regulatory Panel, and a Selection Panel Chair for the Judicial Appointments Commission.

Frederick Way is a leading UK Mediator working across Civil, Commercial and Employment disputes. Having trained as a barrister, Frederick has worked as a mediator since 2013 and been on the CEDR UK Commercial Mediator Panel since 2014. In that time Frederick has resolved hundreds of cases for individuals, teams and organisations in the UK and internationally. He is particularly well-regarded for his ability to handle sensitive and complex interpersonal commercial and employment disputes.

From 2012-2025, Frederick worked full time for CEDR as a mediator, trainer and senior dispute resolution consultant, working with Law Firms, commercial organisations and the judiciary on the utilisation of ADR in the Legal Profession. In 2025, Frederick set up his own practice Frederick Way Mediation and is a full time mediator, whilst still working with CEDR as a panel mediator and Lead Trainer.

Frederick is ranked by Legal 500 2026 as a Leading Mediator for the UK. In 2024, Frederick was named Civil/Commercial Mediator of the Year at the National Mediation Awards.
